Local student graduates from med school

Kristalyn K. Gallagher graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine on May 31.

While at WVSOM, Dr. Gallagher was the treasurer of Emergency Medicine Club. She has a bachelor of science degree in Physiology from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. She is a 1999 graduate of Ridgeview Christian School in Stuarts Draft.

Dr. Gallagher is the daughter of Randy and Patti Gallagher of Staunton, and the wife of BJ Barrick. She is planning a residency in general surgery at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla.
