The Real McCoy
What do Virginia senators John Warner and Jim Webb have in common?
What do our past Governors George Allen, Mark Warner and our current governor, Tim Kaine, have in common?
What do seven of 11 of our congressmen that represent Virginia at the federal level have in common?
All these people listed above have represented Virginia at the highest levels of our government, and yet are not native-born Virginians.
It is not that all of them have not represented Virginia well; some have, and some have not! I only wonder what our first president of the United States, a Virginian, George Washington, would say about this? George Washington was an independent and did not believe in a party system.
Getting to Virginia’s Sixth Congressional District, what do Bob Goodlatte and Salam Rasoul have in common? You’re right, They are not native-born Virginians either. Janice Lee Allen can claim ancestry to eight generations in the Shenandoah Valley. Virginians born in the state are very capable of running their own affairs. Why vote for an imitation when you can vote for The Real McCoy, The Real Virginian?

Pff. Old news, dude. This was in the DNR a while ago.
Wonderful. And it was sent to me over the weekend. And since I don’t assume that our readers read the DNR word for word, I publish it here.
Take that, carpetbaggers! Although if turn-about is fair play, then Woodrow Wilson should never have been elected governor of New Jersey, what with his Staunton provenance.
Dear Mr. Graham:
To me, this is a non-issue and your posting it shows which hat you really wear.
The real issue is, whenever Janice Lee Allen interviews with you and a few others like you (they only wear one hat) Her interviews become Sam Rasoul’s next press release. Did you happen to intern with Bill O’Reilly? Sorry to tell you friend, your candidate is nonviable.
Fair and balanced? I think not. Isn’t it a conflict of interest for Democratic Committee Member to wear his other hat in order to advance his party’s candidate?
Unethical at the very least.

It’s interesting how closely worded the above comment is to an e-mail that I received this evening from Janice Lee Allen. I don’t know what to make of that, except that it’s interesting.
I’m still trying to figure out how posting a letter submitted by an Allen supporter “shows which hat” I wear – a phrasing, incidentally, reflecting an earlier round of personal correspondence between Janice and I. According to the Star City Harbinger, this letter originated in the Allen campaign. Why would the campaign distance itself from a letter that it had originated? And why did the writer send it to me in the guise of a letter to the editor submission?
As to this issue raised by Robin Waller about perceived conflicts of interest, I don’t hide my service as the chair of the Waynesboro Democratic Committee. It would only be unethical if I tried to pretend that I’m not who I am.
Since we’re throwing out accusations of ethics, I’d like to ask Robin Waller about his/her relationship to the Allen campaign, so we can all judge, just like I provide that information about me so that people can make informed opinions about that which I write, where he/she might be coming from? I would expect – and demand – full honesty in the response.
Mr. Graham:
You have right to ask about me. I am a disheartened Democrat to say the least. Having spoken to Janice Lee Allen outside of a Dr.’s office, I immediately signed her petition to run as 6th District Congressional Independent candidate. I was left reeling after our brief encounter, her wisdom, knowledge and understanding of my frustration with the body politic, especially locally, endeared her to me immediately. My problem with Sam Rasoul is not his ethnicity. He denied the AFRP quotes from the minutes of the meetings. I went to that site after it was supposedly removed and found that it wasn’t. I printed it. He promised an apology and retraction, neither manifested. The minutes simply disappeared. His words were very damning and bordered antisemitism. Up springs the Interfaith Solidarity Committee. When I searched the site, I got 0 hits for Sam Rasoul. When I searched Joel Seagal,
I got 0. Within a few days of posting this information suddenly Joel Seagal gives a half-baked attempt at acknowledging Sam’s Interfaith Solidarity Committee.
Sam must be exhausted playing this dangerous game which is costing him moreand more
democratic votes. I also question Sam’s true master.
He has received controversial donations from Muslims who are being investigated for possible terrorist ties. Sam has credibility issues and it amazes me that the Democratic Party selected him to run after 10 years without a candidate. I am amazed.

Democrats for Janice Lee Allen
A little more on Robin Waller for our readers who do not follow goings-on in the local blogosphere. Robin had an interesting e-mail exchange with Cliff Garstang a couple of weeks ago in which he/she cited personal e-mails exchanged between Cliff and Janice Lee Allen. It would seem to stand to reason, then, that Robin is more than what she is letting on here. I don’t know how many people who sign candidate petitions get access to the candidate’s personal e-mails, but my guess is it is not many.
That might explain the similarities in the comment posted by Robin above and the personal e-mail that I received from Janice Lee Allen on this particular issue last night. It appears that there is some sort of coordination ongoing here. Which is fine, but full honesty would seem to demand a full acknowledgement of such.
Robin threw out a litany of accusations and smears aimed at attacking my fairness and personal ethics. And then, sadly, when full honesty of his/her relationship to Janice Lee Allen was requested, he/she fell short of telling the whole story about himself/herself.
I’m sorry, Mr. Graham, I thought it was understood, I am, along with many others, Democrats for Janice Lee Allen. We are currently working on a link at
http://www.AllenForCongress.com where you will be able to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

I smell a rat. “I also question Sam’s true master.” I’m sure you do. You (Robin), along with the other oddities in the US, are the ones who believe that Obama is a Muslim and the antichrist.
