“great news for Democrats and progressives”? Surely you jest! With the majority party tearing itself apart and elected officials distancing themselves from the party organization during his tenure, how can Michael’s departure help Barack Obama and Mark Warner win Virginia? The Republican “brand” has been badly tarnished in this area because of the nasty blogging, and morale among party members has plummeted because of the ideological purification campaign he has waged. To me, this column sounds like “Operation Chaos” but from the Left — disingenuously sowing division in the other party like Rush Limbaugh does.
