Four County Players issue audition call

Auditions for an upcoming Four County Players production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It are set for May 28 and May 29 at the Four County Players Theater in Barboursville.

Audition times both nights are set for 7 p.m.

Callbacks are tentatively scheduled for May 30, if they are necessary.

There are parts for four women and from nine to 12 men.

Come prepared to do cold readings from the play and to deliver from memory a monologue of about 15 lines from any Shakespearean comedy. Or you may recite from memory either Sonnet 18 (“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?”) or Sonnet 130 (“My mistress’ eyes are nothing like the sun”).

If you sing or play guitar, come prepared to sing and play.

Rehearsals begin June 1. Performances will run weekends from July 24 through Aug. 9.
