Good points, all. This legal case was/is an embarrassment to Staunton. We're now officially in the Bible Belt. Thanks, Ray!

They are eating this now. :) they let their one industry UNIFY go and now--from what I've heard through the grapevine--they don't have enough money to put cams into police cars. The money spent in this egotistical lawsuit could have put lots of new things into the city. What a shame and a disgrace to the public and to the public's trust.

This town needs to get out of the past. Basically the city staff is against any small business who isn't within their communist controlling guidelines. They are wasting tax payers monies and the courts time. They should be going after the real criminals and drug pushers instead.

"Descent" and "morality" are relative concepts to one's philosophy. How can one attorney speak for the majority or the minority? My moral code eliminates egalitarianism and embraces capitalism, not collectivism. My moral standards are higher than this attorneys',but to me, pornography falls into business ethics--not what is good or bad, which defies set theory of what is finite, not morality since my being moral is not reflective to religion but self respect and confidence to deal with the world.

This subject is a virtual "hornets' Nest", and doesn't have, or ignores the basic tenet of good taste.

As time goes on, we are going "helter-Skelter" towards the hell of Armageddon. We are gradually eroding the basic laws of decency that are designed to protect us all from the hazards of 'filth of sexual deviation, drug abuse, criminal activities. The latter becoming less criminal day by day. Take the case of an ordinary innocent person defending himself from someone trying to rob his store, and the intruder gets injured in the melee', only to find that he the innocent party is prosecuted for the injury of the criminal.

As these erosions continue, the laws we have lived by in the past, will be overwritten by sketchy, weak allowances for the 'unhealthy practices', until we have a situation where no one will be able to walk the streets in safety of being robbed, raped or killed by someone who feels that 'HIS' rights are protected by the new laws.

All this began with schools not being allowed to discipline errant children any more, and therefore, teachers have no power to control their classes which ultimately leads to a teacher shortage due to the fear of assault by their pupils.

Everyone I know agrees with this view, and yet it would seem that those in authority are afraid to stand their ground in refusing to allow 'questionable industry' in case they should lose votes in the next round. The ordinary guy in the street with common decency, there are still a lot of us out there, want their elected representatives to enforce control as we had in pre WWII times.
