#12 William and Mary football opens CAA play at Stony Brook

wm-logoThe No. 12 William and Mary football team will look to extend its winning streak to four games when it opens its conference slate at stony brook on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Live video of the contest will be available at goseawolves.org, while live audio and live stats will be available at TribeAthletics.com. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on the Tribe’s flagship stations 92.3 FM The Tide and 107.9 Bach FM.

Saturday’s game between W&M and stony brook will mark the first meeting between the two programs, as the Seawolves are currently in their second season as members of the Colonial Athletic Association.

The Tribe wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 3-1 mark and earned victories against Hampton, Norfolk State and Lafayette. W&M enters Saturday’s game ranked fourth in the CAA in both scoring offense (28.2) and scoring defense (20.2).

Although Stony Brook owns a 1-3 record, it boasts one of the league’s top defensive units and ranks second in the CAA in scoring defense (12.2) and first in total defense (199.2). However, it is averaging just 11.5 points per game and 258.2 total yards per game.
